Advanced Kinetics Physical Therapy and Sports Performance is hiring for a staff physical therapist position. AKPT is preferably looking for a NAIOMT Fellow in Training to join the team at our Falls Church location.

Competitive salary, benefits, generous continuing education allowance and ability to work directly with a CFI for one on one hours. AKPT is a privately owned physical therapy clinic specializing in sports medicine, located just outside Washington DC and has two locations: Falls Church and McLean, VA.

We are pleased to announce that Christopher Fred Thurston, JR, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, COMT has graduated from the NAIOMT fellowship program on 3/14/2019. Chris is NAIOMT's 128th fellowship graduate.

Chris' fellowship project will be posted on the OMPT fellowship page in NAIOMT’s BOX.COM and is titled:

“The Manubrial Test: A Novel Assessment for Regional Interdependence in Adolescent Overhead Athletes”

The topic was also presented at the AAOMPT 2018 Conference on 11/9/2018 as a poster presentation.

NAIOMT would like to congratulate alumna Christina Cuka (‘14) PT, DPT, COMPT, SSPT, alumna (‘09) Amy W. McDevitt PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, Distinguished Faculty Instructor Ann Porter Hoke PT, DPT, OCS, FCAMPT, FAAOMPT, and Research Director Steve Karas PT, DSc, CMPT, MA, ATC on the publication of their article, “Spinal manipulation after multiple fusions in an adult with scoliosis: a case report” in the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy.

JMMT published the article online on January 13, 2019. The article will also appear in JMMT’s next print edition. You can access the online article here.
