The Role of Communication in Clinical Practice

Posted by NAIOMT on Feb 7, 2015, 3:40:04 PM

The hard work we put in as physical therapists in the various form of education we absorb, the mentorships we value and grow from, the techniques we master -- all of it matters. Each of these components matter a lot as we treat and and navigate a wellness path for each of our patients. But without the thorough engagement, communication and collaboration with each individual person, there can be no sustained success. And quality of life suffers.

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Peter O'Sullivan, FACP addressed this important element of our work at the Australian Physiotherapy Association's Physiotherapy Conference in 2011. Take a look. It's a bit lengthly, but a good one!
