The complexity of physical therapy is increasing almost daily and with it the challenges of providing effective and up to date interventions for your patients. This workshop will specifically target the lower extremity and in particular the role of the Physical Therapist Assistant in providing interventions to the lower extremity joints. Course participants will effectively provide basic manual interventions to the hip, knee and ankle regions as well as apply evidence based therapeutic exercise techniques. Additional instruction in lower quadrant palpation, biomechanics and discussions of the recent research regarding lower quadrant interventions will combine to develop your treatment skills and enhance your professional development.
